Devon reached out to Fresh Start 2nd Chances seeking support with employment and help in securing a vehicle. After a one-on-one conversation about his goals and interests, we helped guide him toward a career in security and walked him through the car-buying process.

Devon came prepared with his own down payment, and we were proud to educate him on credit and the essential steps to purchase a vehicle responsibly. We are excited to share that Devon is now employed in a security position and has officially purchased his very first vehicle! This is what second chances look like support, empowerment, and taking steps toward independence.

Ms. Thomas reach out to seeking services for her family who is scheduled to be released from prison in September of 2025.  She wanted to be proactive in making sure everything was in place to support her loved one's reentry. 

She is closely working closely with staff to ensure he has access to tools and resources needed to transition successfully back into society. We expressed how pleased and encouraged we are that she took the initiative to reach out on his behave.

Matthew reach out to Fresh Start 2nd Chances seeking job placement assistance. Our team was able to successfully connect him multiple local job leads in his area which lead to successfully gaining employment with a reputable agency. Matthew expressed how please and grateful he was for the prompt and supportive services FS2C provided.

Joseph reached out to Fresh Start 2nd Chances seeking housing assistance. Our team was able to successfully connect him with a local extended stay motel, securing temporary housing accommodations in his area. Joseph expressed how please and thankful he was for the prompt supportive services provided, stating the he felt relieved to have a safe place to stay during this transition period.

 During a recent encounter at a local Publix, one of our staff members was approached by Laura, who shared that she was in temporary housing and had no means to purchase food. Without hesitation, Fresh Start 2nd Chances stepped in to provide her with essential groceries and other necessities. In addition to food, we also blessed her with a pair of shoes and a purse she had been desiring. Laura was overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness and support she received.

At Fresh Start 2nd Chances, moments like these remind us why we do what we do—because sometimes, a small act of compassion can make a world of difference. 

 Dennis reached out to Fresh Start 2nd Chances after recently losing his job and seeking assistance. From the beginning, he was clear about the kind of career he wanted to pursue. Although the journey wasn’t easy especially with an old felony on his record Dennis didn’t let that define his future, and neither did we.

Our team worked closely with him, providing job leads, encouragement, and resources to help him stay motivated. With persistence and dedication, Dennis earned his CDL through Valencia College and later attended a local truck driving school.

Today, Dennis is proudly employed with a reputable over-the-road trucking company. He expressed deep gratitude for the support and guidance he received through Fresh Start 2nd Chances. His story is a powerful reminder that with determination and the right support, second chances truly do lead to success.
